The Lourdes Hydrofix Premium Edition at $1,495 is the countertop hydrogen water machine to buy if you want a figure you can verify rather than a marketing range. It produces 1.6 mg/L over a 30-minute cycle in a 1.8 litre reservoir, using separated-chamber electrolysis that vents byproduct gases instead of dissolving them back into your water, and it doubles as an inhalation machine. The trade-offs are throughput and a one-year warranty.

The machine to buy if you want proof rather than promises. Japanese government-accredited labs tested both the water it makes and the gas it produces, and it is the only one here that also does hydrogen inhalation.

Lourdes publishes 1.6 mg/L (1,600 ppb) for a full 30-minute cycle in the 1.8 L reservoir. Note that this dissolved-concentration figure is the manufacturer's own - the independent Masa test below certifies gas OUTPUT in mL/min, which is a different measurement.

Who the Lourdes Hydrofix is for
Buy the Hydrofix if you are a household of one or two, you want Japanese build quality, and you would rather have a published, repeatable output figure than a higher unverified one. The separated-chamber design is the technical argument for it: ozone and chlorine byproducts are vented rather than redissolved.
Who should skip it
Skip it if there are three or more of you. Thirty minutes for 1.8 litres means you are either planning ahead constantly or running the machine most of the day. The one-year warranty is also the shortest here by some distance - Echo covers its machines for five to ten.
Lourdes HS-72: still worth buying?
The HS-72 is the previous generation and still sells through Japanese import channels. It lacks the Hydrofix Premium Edition’s separated-chamber refinement and its output figure is not published as clearly. Buy it only if the discount against the Hydrofix is substantial - otherwise the newer machine is the better value.
Using the Hydrofix for inhalation
The Hydrofix is the only countertop machine on this site that also delivers hydrogen gas for breathing, through a cannula rather than into the water. It is a secondary function rather than the machine’s purpose - a dedicated unit moves far more gas per minute - so the honest way to read it is as a capability you get for nothing rather than a reason to choose this machine over a purpose-built one.

The Hydrofix Premium Edition is $1,495. That is $300 below the Echo H2 at $1,795, for slightly higher measured output - 1.6 mg/L against 1.5 - plus hydrogen inhalation the Echo does not offer.
What is the difference between the Lourdes Hydrofix and the HS-72?
The HS-72 is the earlier generation. The Hydrofix Premium Edition uses the separated-chamber design that vents byproduct gases and reaches 1.6 mg/L over a 30-minute cycle. Buy the HS-72 only at a substantial discount.
How long does a Lourdes cycle take?
Thirty minutes for a full 1.8 litre reservoir. That is slow if more than two people are drinking from it, and the single most common complaint from owners.
Is Lourdes made in Japan?
